Tottenham Hotspur are expected to keep adding to their squad in the upcoming transfer windows.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side signed ten new players during the summer transfer window. However, it goes without saying that they still have a few gaping holes to fill, particularly in attack.
The Lilywhites drafted in Savio, Omar Marmoush and Myhailo Mudryk in the summer.
With Richarlison frozen out of the squad and Dom Solanke blowing hot and cold, another reliable goalscoring presence would do them a world of good.
Tottenham wanted to sign Eli Junior Kroupi in the summer but the transfer broke down after he suffered an injury in pre-season.
And now, it appears as if he is close to returning to action, which could be good news for Tottenham’s pursuit of him.
Tottenham target Eli Junior Kroupi close to injury return
Kroupi is valued at around £85m and is wanted by some of the biggest clubs in the world, like Barcelona and Arsenal.
Bournemouth manager Marco Rose has confirmed that the Frenchman is now close to making his return after four months out.
“Junior is back into team training but not on the UEFA list,” said Rose via Bournemouth’s official website. “But maybe we can have him for some minutes in Manchester.”
Kroupi Jr is clearly a talented player and a well-documented Tottenham target. Perhaps De Zerbi and co will see how he fares after his injury return before deciding whether or not to make another move for him.
