‘Suffered’ – Roberto De Zerbi provides injury update on four Tottenham players

Destiny Udogie

Tottenham finally got three points on the board as they secured a 3-1 home win vs Coventry City.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side are now out of the relegation zone and will aim to build on it in the coming weeks, although their performance was far from good enough.

Goals from James Maddison, Omar Marmoush and Ben Davies got the job done for them on the night.

Destiny Udogie didn’t make the matchday squad, while the likes of Andy Robertson, Tosin Adarabioyo and Robertson were withdrawn in the second half.

And while Udogie’s injury needs to be monitored, the others should be fit and firing for Chelsea, by De Zerbi’s admission.

On Udogie, the Italian confirmed that he suffered a knee injury vs Manchester United, due to which he wasn’t risked.

“Destiny Udogie played 70 minutes and he suffered a problem in his knee and we didn’t take a risk,” said De Zerbi right before the game.

After the game, he was asked if the likes of Adarabioyo, Robertson and Marmoush were nursing injuries, to which he delivered a rather emphatic response.

“No, no, no, I think there are no injuries, nothing important,” added the Italian via Football London.

Things are finally starting to look up for Tottenham. With key players returning and three points on the board, they will hope to build on it in the coming weeks to climb the Premier League table.
