It’s still early in the season, but the pressure is already on Tottenham Hotspur.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side are the only winless side in the Premier League this season and are rooted to the bottom of the standings.
To be fair to them, their performances haven’t been quite as bad, but at the end of the day, it goes without saying that it is a results business.
Tottenham take on Coventry City later today and will aim to make their week-long training camp in Marbella count to get a positive result.
And Alan Shearer feels the Lilywhites will finally secure their first three points of the season against Frank Lampard’s side.
Alan Shearer tips Tottenham to beat Coventry
“A huge one to call,” said the former Newcastle United captain via Betfair.
“I mean, if Tottenham don’t win this one then I see them in a relegation battle again this season.
“I was impressed with them last weekend with their attitude, with how much pressure was on and how they performed. So, I’m going to go for a home win, and a much-needed one for De Zerbi.”
Tottenham will be without Savio, who is out for a few weeks after an unfortunate injury during their week in Spain.
However, they will be boosted by the return of Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison, which could do them a world of good at the moment.
