The two Premier League teams that want Luca Williams-Barnett from Tottenham

Speculation surrounding Luca Williams-Barnett’s Tottenham future has dominated the back pages this week.

The Englishman has emerged as a wanted man due to his lack of game time under Roberto De Zerbi, garnering interest from the Premier League and the Bundesliga.

The Lilywhites want to tie him down to a new deal, but Tom Barclay has now confirmed that Manchester United and Chelsea are the two Premier League clubs looking to poach him.

Luca Williams-Barnett linked with Tottenham departure

An excerpt from the article reads: “The 18-year-old is on the radar of some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

“Chelsea and Manchester United are also understood to be monitoring his progress.

“Spurs want to tie the youngster down to fresh terms, with his existing deal believed to run out in 2028.

Earlier this season, De Zerbi heaped praise on the youngster, describing him as a precious diamond.

“He is a precious diamond. We have to work on him in the final third and he must work hard on his physicality.

“I’ve worked with a lot of young players in my time and he’s potentially a special player.”

Williams-Barnett is clearly rated by the boss and will get his chances between now and the end of the season, which will hopefully convince him to stay.
