Tottenham Hotspur have endured a horrific start to the new Premier League season.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side are rooted to the bottom of the table and haven’t won a game in the competition.
Their new signings are yet to click into gear and a handful of key players are still injured, which hasn’t helped their cause.
And now, to make matters worse, Luca Williams-Barnett is being linked with a potential departure.
Tottenham could lose Luca Williams-Barnett
Florian Plettenberg reports that Premier League and Bundesliga sides are monitoring the gifted youngster, who is tied down at the club until 2028.
He wrote on X: “Luca Williams-Barnett, one to watch over the next two transfer windows.
“The 18 y/o talented attacking midfielder is under contract with Tottenham until 2028. Spurs want to keep him, but a move is currently being planned.
“Top Premier League and Bundesliga clubs are monitoring him.”
Williams-Barnett hasn’t featured as much as he’d have liked this season. That said, he is still young and De Zerbi showed his faith in him in pre-season, so he is clearly highly rated.
Losing a talent like him will be a body blow for Tottenham and if it happens, the Lilywhites faithful will undoubtedly have some strong words to say against the club’s hierarchy.
