Tottenham head coach De Zerbi addressing the squad

Luca Williams-Barnett made his long-awaited Premier League debut for Tottenham Hotspur during their 2-0 win against Crystal Palace.

Goals from Archie Gray and Jan Paul van Hecke gave the home side a commanding win as the Lilywhites continued their recent run.

Late in the game, Williams-Barnett was introduced as a substitute and he immediately made a massive impact.

The youngster left a bunch of Palace players for dead on the left flank and provided a fantastic pass for Mohammed Kudus, who somehow missed the target with the goal gaping.

Nevertheless, Williams-Barnett showed a huge glimpse of his potential after bursting onto the scene in pre-season.

And De Zerbi believes he is a big talent who more than deserved his Premier League debut.

Earlier this season, there were reports that Williams-Barnett could look to leave Tottenham due to his lack of game time.

However, it is important to remember that he is just 18 and has a long career ahead of him, so De Zerbi is taking the right approach with him.

Clubs from the Premier League and the Bundesliga continue to keep tabs on Williams-Barnett, but Tottenham will do whatever it takes to tie him down for the long haul.
