The upcoming months could define the course of Tottenham’s future after Roberto De Zerbi’s arrival.
The Italian has signed a five-year deal at the club and will look to avoid the drop, for starters. Tottenham want to give De Zerbi full influence over transfers and squad planning, which is a sign that they are really banking on him to deliver glory.
In terms of transfers, clarity isn’t expected until the Spurs’ Premier League status is confirmed, as potential targets would probably not want to play in the Championship.
Nevertheless, Tottenham are weighing up their options and are willing to make a move for Harry Wilson, who is all set to become a free agent this summer.
Harry Wilson a wanted man
The Welshman has finally come of age in the Premier League and is currently playing the best football of his professional career for club and country.
Wilson already has 10 goals and six assists in the Premier League this season, and with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, he has emerged as a wanted man.

TeamTalk report that Tottenham are willing to make a move for him, although a lot will depend on whether they manage to avoid relegation.
Wilson is also wanted by Manchester United, who, much like Tottenham, are expected to have a big summer.
Former club Liverpool are set to lose Mohamed Salah at the end of the season, opening up a space for Wilson. The Reds are also keeping tabs on his situation, so Tottenham won’t have a free run at him.
Wilson an intriguing option for Tottenham
Wilson isn’t blessed with devastating pace in the wide areas, but he possesses a wand of a left foot and is capable of scoring all kinds of goals.
Tottenham have Mohammed Kudus on the right flank, whose season has been hampered by injuries.
However, if Wilson were to arrive, he could provide cover and competition for the Ghanaian, while his versatility also allows him to play as a No.10 in De Zerbi’s 4-2-3-1 setup.

On a free transfer, this looks like a move that can’t go wrong for Spurs if they decide to press ahead with a transfer.
Earlier this season, Marco Silva referred to Wilson as a ‘magical’ footballer with a brilliant work ethic.
“He’s been incredible,” said Silva via The Independent. “Right now, everything he touches becomes something magic, something that will have an impact. You just have to try to take the best from him.
“It’s the best moment of his career definitely. He’s enjoying and he’s worked very hard. His numbers are top, incredible. Very humble, a hard worker always.”
Fulham haven’t given up hopes of keeping him, but with a handful of teams chasing him, the upcoming games are likely to be Wilson’s last at Craven Cottage.
