‘Very keen’ – Fabrizio Romano confirms Tottenham want to sign ‘unstoppable’ £65m attacker

Tottenham Hotspur’s spending spree is set to continue well into August as they attempt to kickstart a new era under Roberto De Zerbi.

The Lilywhites have already made as many as six signings, spending north of £230m.

However, they are yet to reinforce their attack and will likely add a player or two to their ranks before the summer transfer window slams shut.

Eli Junior Kroupi has been linked with a move to Tottenham, but the Frenchman is also wanted by Barcelona after his stunning season at Bournemouth.

Another player who has keen admirers in N17 is Savinho, who has fallen down the pecking order at Manchester City.

And Fabrizio Romano says Tottenham remain locked in talks to secure his signature.

Tottenham deal for Savinho ‘absolutely on’

Tottenham’s interest in Savinho is well documented, and Romano feels all parties involved are having conversations to get the deal over the line.

“Savinho is one of the players they absolutely want,” said Romano on his YouTube channel.

“They remain in the conversation, they remain very keen, they are on it. The deal is absolutely on.”

During the back end of the 2025-26 Premier League season, Pep Guardiola referred to Savinho as an ‘unstoppable’ talent who will be some player when his development is finished.

“At that age, in the one-against-one, he is unstoppable,” said the former Manchester City manager, as relayed by Romano on X.

“When we finish the final product, he will be a top, top class player.”

Tottenham’s intentions are very clear: sign a quality attacker or two before the end of the summer. And whether it is Savinho, Junior Kroupi, or someone else, remains to be seen.

According to a report from One Football, the Brazilian is valued at around £65m.

And if the Lilywhites are continuing to negotiate despite knowing the fee, they have every intention of matching the Cityzens’ asking price.
