‘Problem’ – Fabrizio Romano’s overnight Eli Junior Kroupi update is bad news for Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur aren’t done in the transfer market despite making as many as six new additions.

In recent weeks, Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed several times that the Lilywhites remain on the lookout for reinforcements between now and the end of the summer.

In attack, a handful of players have been linked, but Eli Junior Kroupi has emerged as Tottenham’s main transfer target.

And now, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Barcelona are also keeping tabs on him, which is undoubtedly bad news for the Spurs faithful.

Tottenham target Eli Junior Kroupi wanted by Barcelona

Barcelona have lost Robert Lewandowski and could do well with a certified gun man in front of goal.

And in recent weeks, there have been reports that they want to sign Junior Kroupi after his stunning first season at Bournemouth.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano confirmed the Catalan giants’ interest, although he added that the deal won’t be easy due to the Cherries’ reluctance to sell.

“One name to watch in the next weeks of the transfer window is Junior Kroupi, the striker from Bournemouth. According to my information, Barcelona opened talks with people close to Kroupi and also spoke to Bournemouth about Kroupi as a possibility upfront.

“So Barcelona took some information and made some calls to understand the situation.

“He’s a player they appreciate. So for sure, the name of Kroupi is a name to keep under consideration for Barcelona. The problem is that this deal is also very complicated because Bournemouth don’t want to sell the player this summer.

“Bournemouth insist on keeping Kroupi at the club this summer, so it’s not easy for Barcelona.”

Tottenham are also interested in signing Savinho, but thus far, Manchester City have been unwilling to sanction a deal.

De Zerbi and co will attack the market again for an attacker or two, so don’t be surprised to see movement on this front in the coming weeks.
