Tottenham face AC Milan threat in £60m Savinho transfer talks

Savinho’s potential transfer to Tottenham transfer faces fresh competition after AC Milan entered the race for the Manchester City winger.

Spurs remain in advanced talks and Roberto De Zerbi has identified the Brazil international as his leading attacking target.

Tottenham have focused on strengthening their forward line after investing heavily in midfield and defence. De Zerbi confirmed that he wants another two important attacking players before the transfer window closes.

The 22-year-old would provide direct running, pace and one-against-one quality from either wing. Those attributes suit the aggressive possession football De Zerbi wants to establish in north London.

Savinho to Tottenham threatened by AC Milan interest

The Sun reports that Milan are preparing a loan proposal containing a mandatory €50million to €55million purchase clause. The Italian club view Savinho as a potential replacement for Rafael Leão.

Tottenham remain at the front of the queue, with negotiations over a package worth around £60million described as advanced. However, Manchester City have not received a formal offer from either club.

City are open to allowing Savinho to leave, but only after securing another winger. Their failure to sign Yan Diomande leaves Spurs waiting for the required approval.

Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed that direct talks between Tottenham and City have continued for several weeks. Savinho remains De Zerbi’s clear priority, with the manager personally driving the pursuit.

Tottenham’s need for another attacker was evident despite their 2-0 friendly victory over Auckland FC. ReadTottenham’s latest analysis highlighted Mathys Tel’s impact but also noted that attacking recruitment remains unfinished.

A Savinho to Tottenham agreement is not yet complete. Milan’s interest creates an additional obstacle, but Spurs appear well placed if City provide the final permission for negotiations to advance.
