Tottenham Hotspur have been the most active Premier League club in the transfer market.
In recent weeks, the Lilywhites have focused on outgoings to fine-tune their squad, after which they plan to attack the transfer window once again with a handful of additions.
The likes of Tynan Thompson, Luka Vuskovic, Will Lankshear and Elijah Upson have departed the club this summer.
And now, Ben Jacobs has confirmed that the young defender has rejected a transfer due to a dramatic change of heart.
Alfie Dorrington rejects Tottenham departure
Even when the transfer was initially reported, it was always maintained that Tottenham had agreed a deal with the Polish side.
Personal terms were never agreed between the player and the club, but the deal seemed to be headed in the right direction.
An hour ago, Jacobs confirmed on his X account that Dorrington has indeed rejected a move to Pogon Szczecin as he prefers to move to a club in England.
“Alfie Dorrington’s move to Pogon is off. The player had a change of heart and is looking for a club, ideally in England.”
This is a huge blow for the Polish side, but Tottenham won’t be too bothered as Dorrington will surely have suitors within the country.
