Tottenham Hotspur are well and truly still in a relegation dog fight in the Premier League despite securing a positive result against Liverpool.
Igor Tudor has secured just one point from four Premier League games in charge of the club, with Tottenham just a point clear of West Ham United and Nottingham Forest.
He is set to be in charge of the club until the game against Nottingham Forest at least, after his side produced a fighting display against Liverpool.
However, if Tottenham were to lose there, they could find themselves in the relegation zone, prompting contingency plans.
And now, a former Bundesliga mastermind has emerged on their radar as Tudor continues to fight for his job.
Tottenham want Adi Hutter
Tottenham’s interest in Roberto de Zerbi is well documented, but the Italian is unwilling to return to the touchline immediately after just leaving Marseille by mutual consent last month.
Mauricio Pochettino’s return to N17 has also been mooted, but his current assignment with the USA national team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup has thrown a spanner into the works.
And now, Rudi Galetti reports that Tottenham have ‘gathered information’ on Adi Hutter, who has been without a job after being sacked by Monaco in late 2025.
The Austrian is being monitored as a candidate who could replace Tudor immediately if things go south in the coming weeks, while they are also willing to wait until the summer to bring him to North London.
Further details remain unclear at this stage, but the former Eintracht Frankfurt coach is on Tottenham’s radar as they continue to evaluate all options.
Hutter a strange fit for Tottenham
Hutter’s work with Frankfurt, Borussia Monchengladbach and Monaco is creditable. That said, it isn’t an option that will excite the Tottenham fans as they need someone to breathe new life into the club.
Additionally, if Hutter were to replace Tudor now, his lack of Premier League experience – which has been the case with the Croatian as well – could be a massive problem for the club.

In all honesty, this seems like a bit of a strange link as Hutter neither has a glittering CV to endear himself to Tottenham for the long haul, nor a proven track record to save teams from relegation.
Stranger things have happened in football, but for now, it would be wise to file this in the ‘not happening’ category.
