Tottenham Hotspur have been ravaged by injuries this season as several key players remain on the sidelines.
Pedro Porro and Kevin Danso could return to face Fulham on Sunday, but the injury list at N17 is still arguably as big as it’s ever been in the club’s recent history.
James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski haven’t featured this season, while Mohamed Kudus, Lucas Bergvall, Rodrigo Bentancur, Wilson Odobert and Destiny Udogie, among others, remain on the sidelines after picking up injuries over the course of the current campaign.
Ahead of the game against Fulham, Igor Tudor shared an update on Kulusevski and Udogie, which, for once, appeared to be a positive update on the injury front.
Kulusevski and Udogie close to returning
Kulusevski last featured for Tottenham in May 2025 and underwent knee surgery later in the year.
He was expected to be fit immediately after the turn of the year, but it hasn’t gone as planned for the Swede.
As for Udogie, he pulled his hamstring in the 2-0 defeat to Manchester United last month in what turned out to be Thomas Frank’s penultimate game in charge of the club.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the trip to Craven Cottage, Tudor admitted the pair are close to returning to full fitness, adding that they won’t be rushed back into action despite Tottenham’s situation.
He said: “It’s on a weekly basis. When they come, they come. We need to be focused on the way, also, on how they come back into the team.

“Also, the most important thing is, in time, they are recovering to put them in good condition, so when they come back, they are in good shape.
“Otherwise, it’s a problem. But we are working. This is an important part of our job.”
Tottenham duo also have imminent international commitments in March
Neither Sweden nor Italy has booked their spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup yet.
Italy take on Northern Ireland in March, while Sweden prepare to face Ukraine, with both ties expected to be two-legged affairs played home and away.

Udogie has featured regularly for Italy in recent years, so Gennaro Gattuso will keep a close eye on his rehab.
Kulusevski is a key cog for Sweden, so much like Gattuso, Graham Potter will have one watchful eye on Tottenham as he awaits his long-awaited return to competitive action.
