Tottenham Hotspur are in a spot of bother as the prospect of Premier League relegation looms large over N17.
Igor Tudor’s first game in charge of the club ended in a disappointing 4-1 defeat to arch-rivals Arsenal as the Croatian got a first taste of English football.
However, with games against Fulham and Crystal Palace on the horizon, the North London outfit will look to get maximum points on the board to climb the table.
Ahead of the trip to Craven Cottage, Tottenham have seemingly been handed a double injury boost as Pedro Porro and Kevin Danso have been spotted training with the team.
And now, Tim Sherwood has shared his thoughts on the matter in rather candid fashion.
Sherwood: Tottenham’s frailties laid bare
Tottenham have been ravaged by injuries this season, with James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Mohammed Kudus, Rodrigo Bentancur, Lucas Bergvall and Destiny Udogie currently out, among others.
Their situation seems to be getting better, though. Porro and Danso are back on the pitch and could be in contention to face Fulham.
And while Sherwood believes the pair will undoubtedly add more quality to the squad, he claims the fact that Tottenham fans are celebrating Porro and Danso’s return to the team – like they are meant to be the club’s saviours – goes to show how much they’ve fallen this season.

“You need as many decent players as you possibly can. I mean, it just shows you the state of Tottenham at the moment,” said Sherwood on Sky Sports.
“We’re celebrating the fact that Pedro Porro and Danso are back fit. Just shows you the state of what they’re like at the moment.
Danso could return at the heart of the backline
Porro’s return should see him stationed as a right wing-back in place of Archie Gray.
As for Danso, Sherwood believed the towering defender should replace Joao Palhinha, who played as a central defender in a back-three against Arsenal.
“Hopefully, they can have three centre-backs fit now and Igor Tudor wants to go with a back three,” continued Sherwood.
“Maybe you can throw Danso in amongst them now: Micky van de Ven and Dragusin. Because playing Palhinha in there, you need him in the midfield area.
“He gives everything for the team but he’s not a centre-back and he showed that at the weekend.

“But no one was any good at the weekend in a Tottenham shirt, to be perfectly honest. So they need all the help they can possibly get and it’s a real boost for them. It really is.”
Tudor will speak to the media tomorrow to preview the Fulham clash. He should speak about Porro, Danso and Tottenham’s other absentees, which will give the fans a glimpse of what their lineup could look like on Sunday.
