Guglielmo Vicario has divided opinion among the Tottenham Hotspur faithful over the course of his time at the club.
After signing from Empoli in the summer of 2023, the 29-year-old quickly became a first-team regular at N17.
However, his tendencies to blow hot and cold during games were apparent right from the get-go.
Vicario has undoubtedly made a series of fantastic saves at Tottenham, but his kicking and ability to claim crosses, in particular, have come under immense scrutiny.
And now, amid interest from Juventus and Inter Milan in Serie A, Tottenham’s valuation of the player has emerged ahead of what could be an important summer.
Tottenham value Vicario at around £26m
Vicario was in the thick of the action against Arsenal as Tottenham fell to a damaging 4-1 defeat on Sunday.
He made a series of saves to ensure Spurs didn’t lose by a bigger margin but was also beaten from outside the penalty area by Viktor Gyokeres, although it could be argued that the Swedish striker’s shot was struck with a lot of venom.
Caught Offside report that Juventus are keeping tabs on Vicario to replace Michele Di Gregorio, who, much like his compatriot, has divided opinion in Turin.
The Serie A side have held discussions ‘behind the scenes’ about Vicario’s potential arrival in the summer, although they are not alone in the race for him.
Inter Milan are also interested in the 29-year-old as they look for a long-term replacement for Yann Sommer.

The Swiss international has been at the club since 2023, but with his contract expiring at the end of the season, Cristian Chivu’s side are on the lookout for his successor.
The report also states that Tottenham value Vicario at around £26m, which will allow them to make a decent profit on the £17.2m fee they paid to secure his services from Empoli three years ago.
End of the road for Vicario?
Tottenham need to make some hard calls this summer to overhaul their squad in the summer under their new manager.
In recent years, the club’s recruitment hasn’t been up to the mark and Vicario falls in that category.

Last season, Tottenham conceded 65 Premier League goals on their way to a 17th-place finish. For context, only the bottom three (Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton) and Wolves conceded more goals, which isn’t a good look for the goalkeeper.
While he can’t shoulder all the blame, Vicario made some glaring errors leading to goals. Additionally, his kicking and ability to gather crosses continue to be a work in progress.
If clubs meet the valuation, Tottenham could well part with Vicario; the move could also benefit the Italian, who looked a lot more comfortable in Serie A.
