- Randal Kolo Muani fails for Tottenham again
- Frenchman played big part in Andrey Santos’ goal
- Tottenham fans slam PSG loanee
Tottenham’s relegation fate is set to be decided on the final day of the Premier League season after their 2-1 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Enzo Fernandez and Andrey Santos’ goals put the Blues 2-0 up, while Richarlison’s second-half strike proved to be a mere consolation.
Roberto De Zerbi’s four-match unbeaten run in the Premier League was halted at Stamford Bridge as his players fell flat on the grandest stage.
And Randal Kolo Muani, in particular, endured yet another torrid outing for the visitors.
Tottenham Hotspur fans savage Randal Kolo Muani
With Wilson Odobert, Mohammed Kudus, Xavi Simons and Dominic Solanke injured, among others, Kolo Muani started in attack once again.
The Frenchman’s loan spell at the club has proved to be underwhelming, to say the least.
However, he produced one of his most uninspiring performances yet at Stamford Bridge.
Kolo Muani didn’t contribute much in attack and cut a frustrated figure as Chelsea marked him out of the game. To make matters worse, his terrible back pass put the Blues clean through on goal as Santos scored to make it 2-0.
And it’s safe to say the Tottenham faithful weren’t best pleased with his performance, as seen from their reactions below.
@SpursArmyTweets wrote: “Chelsea make it two. Kolo Muani with a simply HORRIFIC pass to allow them to counter. Micky van de Ven is going NUTS at him and rightly so.”
@jaydmharris added, “Well, that sums up Randal Kolo Muani’s loan spell with Spurs. A loose pass is intercepted by Cole Palmer and Andrey Santos ends up scoring. He is immediately taken off for James Maddison.”
And finally, @InvertTheWing wrote, “There’s being bad but giving effort. Kolo Muani just jogs around half the game,” while @totnumjoe added, “I’m going to get banned if I speak on Kolo Muani. I’ll be back in 10 minutes.”
After his error, he was immediately substituted as James Maddison replaced him with 25 minutes left on the clock.
Horrific deal for all parties involved
The Frenchman has scored just one Premier League goal for Tottenham since joining the club on loan from PSG last summer.

De Zerbi sang Kolo Muani’s praises last week, but it hasn’t led to the desired outcome as he continues to struggle for form and confidence.
To make matters worse, he was left out of Didier Deschamps’ France squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup despite Hugo Ekitike’s injury, with Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta being called up instead.
Kolo Muani will go down as one of Tottenham’s biggest transfer failures in recent years. That said, he still has one game to make amends and can bow out on a high if he delivers against Leeds United next week.
