Tottenham finally broke their Premier League duck in 2026 as they secured a hard-fought 1-0 win against Wolves.
Joao Palhinha scored the solitary goal of the game in the second half to give Roberto De Zerbi his first win at the club.
Despite the result, Tottenham remain in the relegation zone, two points below West Ham.
However, the result could be a significant moment for the club as they continue to fight to preserve their Premier League status.
In terms of individual performances, it was a mixed bag for Tottenham at Molineux.
And De Zerbi feels Tottenham currently have a player whose confidence is shot.
De Zerbi defends Kolo Muani
Starting in attack alongside Dominic Solanke and Xavi Simons, Randal Kolo Muani worked his socks off for Tottenham.
He started well but fizzled out as the game went on, as he failed to get his name on the scoresheet again.

De Zerbi feels the Frenchman is a fantastic player in his own right despite his recent struggles.
“At the beginning of the first half, Kolo Muani started the game very well and then he lost confidence,” said the Italian in his post-match press conference via Football London.
“We have to go every day for lunch with Kolo Muani this week. Every day breakfast, lunch and dinner because he is a top player with potential.
“He plays better when he feels better on the pitch. He tried to go one v one, to shoot, to do something more with more energy because he can. He can do that.”
Tottenham’s Tel conundrum
Mathys Tel has been a bright spark for Tottenham during the second half of their Premier League campaign.
However, the Frenchman has mostly featured as a second-half substitute to run at tired legs, as was the case against Wolves.
However, with Solanke and Simons injured and Kolo Muani out of sorts, De Zerbi could turn to Tel for the trip to Villa Park.
As for Kolo Muani’s future, he is expected to return to PSG when his loan spell expires.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for Kolo Muani in the summer. As things stand, Tottenham aren’t expected to sign him permanently.
That said, he could yet play a big role in helping secure the club’s Premier League status.
