At a glance:
- Tottenham’s chances vs Wolves evaluated
- A must-win game for De Zerbi
- Wolves are 20th in the Premier League
Tottenham have five games to save themselves from Premier League relegation as the 2025-26 season draws to a dramatic climax.
Roberto De Zerbi’s arrival has breathed new life into the club, but they have picked up just a point from two games under the Italian.
The performance against Brighton, however, was encouraging, to say the least.
They conceded a late equaliser to walk away with just a point, but most of the players worked their socks off with the possibility of relegation looming large over their heads.
Tottenham’s game against Wolves is a must-win if there ever was one. And now, an Opta supercomputer has evaluated their exact chance of securing all three points on Saturday.
Tottenham given 39% chance of beating Wolves
Tottenham are winless in the Premier League and are in their worst run domestically in nearly 100 years.
Their last Premier League win came against Crystal Palace in December 2025 when a goal from Archie Gray secured them a 1-0 success.

Since then, two managers have been sacked and a lot of things have happened off the pitch that have led to more misery.
However, they still have a chance to save themselves, although they need to get three points on the board vs Wolves.
An Opta supercomputer has given Tottenham a 39.1% chance of securing a win on Saturday, with Wolves’ likelihood marginally lower at 35%.
The likelihood of a draw, meanwhile, is 25.9%, but one point at Molineux will be no good for Tottenham as it won’t really help them climb out of the relegation zone.
Between Tottenham and West Ham now
West Ham are currently two points above Spurs after their 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace.

If Tottenham get three points on Saturday, they can leapfrog the Hammers in the table, although they kick off exactly at the same time vs Everton.
A few weeks ago, Leeds United and Nottingham Forest were also in the race for relegation. However, the two sides have picked up points in recent weeks and look safe for now.
One of Tottenham or West Ham are likely to go down. And if De Zerbi’s side fail to win against Wolves, the possibility of relegation will be as high as it’s ever been.
