Tottenham Hotspur confirmed earlier today that Igor Tudor has left the club by mutual consent.
The Croatian was in charge for just 44 days after replacing Thomas Frank as interim boss. Tudor oversaw seven games in all competitions and won just once, losing five times.
He was winless in the Premier League and picked up just one point from five games in the competition, a run that took Tottenham perilously close to the relegation zone.
Adi Hutter has been linked with Tottenham, with the Austrian currently without a job after leaving Monaco last year.
And now, he has seemingly ruled himself out of the running to replace Tudor.
Hutter not interested in Tottenham job
Hutter led Monaco to a third-place finish in Ligue 1 during the 2024-25 campaign. However, a run of underwhelming results at the start of the current season led to his dismissal in October.
And now, a vacancy has opened up at Tottenham, with the North London outfit seriously considering a move for the Austrian.
However, in an interview with Sky Sports Austrian, Hutter confirmed that he will not look to take a job until the start of the new season, which effectively rules him out of the running for Tottenham.
“As I already said immediately after my time in Monaco, I generally only want to work again as a head coach at the earliest at the start of the new season.
“My stance on this matter has not changed since then.”
Blessing in disguise for Tottenham
No disrespect to Hutter, who is a fantastic coach in his own right. However, Tottenham need an experienced figure capable of avoiding the drop, so he doesn’t really fit the bill.
Tudor’s lack of Premier League experience was evident during his short stint with the club, and Tottenham will be keen to avoid the same mistake again.
Their managerial search could go one of two ways now. One is to turn to someone like Roberto de Zerbi, who is widely regarded as one of the best managers in the world.
The Italian is no stranger to the Premier League and could also oversee a new era at the club from next season if he manages to keep them up.

If they decide to turn to another interim manager, Sean Dyche is an obvious candidate, although it remains to be seen if he accepts a short-term deal.
Johan Lange and Vinai Venkatesham are facing the heat as they look for their fourth Tottenham manager in the space of 10 months.
And with the prospect of relegation looming large at N17, they can’t afford to get this one wrong.
