Tottenham Hotspur are preparing for an important summer transfer window while also attempting to secure their Premier League status under Igor Tudor.
Currently in 16th place, the North London outfit are just four points above the drop zone ahead of their clash against Fulham.
West Ham United and Nottingham Forest are breathing down their necks, making their next few games all the more important.
Nevertheless, they have one eye on the upcoming transfer window as work continues to happen behind the scenes to sign the right players.
Tottenham have been linked with a move for Jarrod Bowen, who could be on the move if West Ham get relegated.
And now, they are also keeping tabs on a Wolves player as part of their ‘relegation raid,’ which is a sign that their transfer policy could be about to change.
Hugo Bueno: The Andy Robertson alternative
Tottenham wanted to sign Andy Robertson in January to add more experience and numbers to a squad ravaged by injuries and devoid of confidence.
However, Liverpool refused to part with him midway through the season as they didn’t have a suitable replacement despite Milos Kerkez serving as Arne Slot’s first-choice left back.
And now, it appears as if Tottenham have moved on from Robertson. According to TEAMtalk, Wolves’ Hugo Bueno has emerged on their radar, with the 23-year-old delivering a string of eye-catching displays this season despite them being rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.
Anything can happen in football, but Wolves’ relegation is seen as a bit of a foregone conclusion at this stage as they find themselves 14 points away from 17th place with just nine games to go.

Bueno is also attracting interest from Newcastle United, who view the young Spaniard as someone who can provide cover and competition for Lewis Hall.
In January, TEAMtalk claimed Bueno could cost as much as £20m. If Wolves’ relegation is confirmed, it remains to be seen if that price drops.
Are Tottenham targeting a ‘relegation raid?’
Yesterday, we extensively covered Tottenham’s interest in Bowen, who could finally leave West Ham this summer, as a player of his calibre is far too good for the Championship.
And now, Bueno has also been linked with a move to N17, which is a sign that Tottenham are attempting a ‘relegation raid’ this summer to poach important players below their market value.

That strategy has clearly worked for a handful of clubs in recent years. Liverpool signed Robertson from Hull City after they suffered relegation in 2017. Since then, the Scotsman has won the lot at Anfield and is currently regarded as one of the greatest left-backs in recent Premier League history.
Tottenham, for their part, have also followed this strategy in recent years with the signings of Wilson Odobert and James Maddison, so it remains to be seen how the situation develops with both Bowen and Bueno.
