Tottenham Hotspur’s situation is going from bad to worse as they find themselves 2-0 down against Fulham at half-time.
After losing 4-1 to Arsenal in his first game, the trip to Craven Cottage was seen as the perfect game for Igor Tudor to stamp his authority at the club.
However, first-half goals from Harry Wilson and Alex Iwobi have given Marco Silva’s side a comfortable lead as they dominated the game.
To make matters worse, Tottenham fans were on the wrong end of some derogatory chanting from the home team as their misery continues to deepen in the Premier League.
Fulham fans taunt Tottenham at Craven Cottage
Wilson gave his side the lead with a thumping finish from close range. Tottenham argued that the goal should have been ruled out as Raul Jimenez had both his hands on Radu Dragusin, who fell to the ground moments before the goal.
However, after a lengthy VAR check, the goal was given, much to the dismay of Tudor and the Tottenham faithful.
As the game went on, the away fans were heard singing “We want our club back” as fears of relegation began to kick in. And minutes later, Iwobi’s long-range strike rubbed salt into their wounds as Fulham raced to a 2-0 lead at Craven Cottage.
After the Nigerian’s strike, BBC Sport reporter Michael Emmons claimed Fulham fans were heard chanting “That’s why you’re going down” from the Hammersmith End, to which the Tottenham faithful in the away end responded with stunned silence.
Tottenham have their work cut out for them
Tottenham need to score at least twice without conceding in the second half to get anything out of this game, which looks like an uphill battle as they have now conceded six goals in three halves of football under their interim boss.

Tudor went with a 4-3-3 formation at Craven Cottage, with Archie Gray stationed as a left-back and Joao Palhinha returning to midfield. Barring Randal Kolo Muani and Pedro Porro, none of their other players produced a performance that showed fight as they find themselves dragged into a relegation dog fight.
The only real consolation is that fellow relegation rivals West Ham United – who are currently 18th – fell to a 5-2 defeat to Liverpool yesterday.
Elsewhere, Brighton & Hove Albion lead 2-1 against Nottingham Forest at halftime. If the Seagulls manage to secure all three points, Tottenham will breathe a huge sigh of relief as they can put this game behind them and go again next week, assuming they don’t stage a stunning fightback after the interval.
