Tottenham Hotspur are in a spot of bother currently as they find themselves 16th in the Premier League standings.
After their 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United, Thomas Frank was relieved of his duties, with Spurs turning to Igor Tudor as interim boss until the end of the season.
We’ll have to wait to see who they appoint permanently, with Roberto de Zerbi and Mauricio Pochettino admired by the Tottenham hierarchy.
Nonetheless, speculation surrounding incomings continues to dominate the back pages, with Borussia Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha linked with a move to North London.
And now, reports from Germany have appeared to confirm how much it’ll take to prise away the German international in the summer.
Tottenham target Felix Nmecha to cost around £48m
Having joined the Manchester City academy as a youngster – alongside his brother Lucas, who currently plays for Leeds United – Nmecha moved to Wolfsburg to establish himself as a key player in the Bundesliga.
In the summer of 2023, Dortmund came calling for the powerful midfielder, who has been capped six times by Germany.
According to Fussball Daten, the 25-year-old midfielder is attracting ‘significant interest’ from Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United, with the Premier League trio viewing his homegrown status as a huge boost in terms of long-term squad planning.
Nmecha has a contract at Dortmund until the summer of 2028, so they remain in a decent position to retain him. The report also states that his representatives are set to start talks with Tottenham and other interested parties imminently, with the German international set to cost around £48m.
He currently earns around £4.3m-per-season in Germany but would demand nearly £8m-a-year to move to England, which is around £150k-per-week.
Where would Nmecha fit in at Tottenham?
This is a question that’s hard to answer at this point in time. Tudor will only be in charge until the end of the season and we’re no closer to finding who will take over the reigns permanently.
Additionally, Spurs signed Conor Gallagher in January from Atletico Madrid, shelling out nearly £35m to snap up the box-to-box midfielder.

Nmecha is clearly a talented player who isn’t a stranger to English football. That said, Spurs’ priority will be to identify their next manager and work in tandem with him and their sporting director to bolster their squad.
Under Pochettino, the North London outfit developed a reputation for making shrewd moves in the transfer market.
In recent years, however, they haven’t managed to do that, so this has to be the summer where they put long-term plans in place with the right people to rebuild the foundation of the club.
