Tottenham scrambled towards the latter part of the summer transfer window to secure attacking reinforcements.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side signed Savio and Omar Marmoush from Manchester City in a double deal and also snapped up Mykhailo Mudryk on loan from Chelsea.
A deal to sign Cody Gakpo from Liverpool failed, while a handful of other names were also linked.
According to TEAMtalk, Kader Meite was offered to Tottenham and other Premier League clubs in the transfer window.
And now, the young striker is keen on returning to Europe if suitable offers arrive.
Tottenham target Kader Meite could move again
Meite moved to Al-Hilal in January for a fee believed to be in the region of €30m.
Graeme Bailey, in the aforementioned report, claims that the striker was offered to other clubs, but the Saudi Pro League side were unwilling to sanction a deal.
An excerpt from the article reads: “Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur were all made aware that Meite could potentially be available from Al-Hilal, with intermediaries working to establish whether a return to Europe could be possible for the teenager.
“Interest was strong, but Al-Hilal were not keen sellers and pushed back against the possibility of allowing Meite to leave.”
With Richarlison already out of the project and Dom Solanke struggling with poor form and injuries, the Lilywhites are likely to be on the lookout for a striker.
And it could well be Meite, who is now keen on a return to Europe after a brief spell in Saudi.
