Earlier this summer, various sources confirmed that Lille’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo is on Tottenham’s radar.
And now, it appears as if the Belgian international could be on the move as Newcastle United are ready to make one last offer for him.

Yesterday, we reported on Read Tottenham that Newcastle have made an offer for Fernandez-Pardo, who wants to leave Lille before the transfer deadline.
The versatile attacker has also attracted interest from Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and RB Leipzig and featured for Belgium at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
And now, Sacha Tavolieri reports that the Magpies are readying one final offer to sign the Lille man before the deadline.
He wrote on X: “EXCLUSIVE: Newcastle United are set to make a final offer for Matias Fernandez-Pardo!
“The Magpies are preparing to submit a final €60M bid including bonuses today to convince Lille. It’s now or never.”
Tottenham appear to have other priorities at the moment, so they won’t mind this too much. However, if they miss out on both Gakpo and Leao, they’ll be kicking themselves for not making an offer for Fernandez-Pardo.
We’ll have to wait and see how this one develops, but judging by all the reporting, it’s not something De Zerbi and co are actively pursuing.
