Tottenham Hotspur announced the signing of Savio (yes, that’s what he wants to be called) earlier today and are pressing ahead with moves for other attackers.
A deal to sign Omar Marmoush from Manchester City is believed to be close, while Liverpool attacker Cody Gakpo is another player who has keen admirers at N17.
Roberto De Zerbi and co are expected to be active between now and the transfer deadline as they scour the market for another attacker.
And now, if reports from Italy are to be believed, they have declared their interest in signing Rafael Leao.
Tottenham want Rafael Leao
According to Milan News, the Lilywhites are the latest European side to express an interest in signing the Portuguese international.
Leao confirmed earlier this summer that he wants to leave AC Milan and is wanted by Galatasaray and Aston Villa, among others.
The report also states that he is valued at around €50-60m by the Serie A giants. So far, none of the interested parties have been willing to pay that fee, so it remains to be seen if Tottenham oblige.
We can’t see the Lilywhites signing both Gakpo and Leao. But with Manchester City now in the race to sign the Liverpool attacker, Leao could well be their plan B as they continue to search for reinforcements.
