  • Midfielder recently struggled with shoulder problem
  • Sarr could leave in the summer

Roberto De Zerbi will look to make it successive wins for Tottenham as they face Aston Villa tomorrow.

Unai Emery’s side have one eye on the UEFA Europa League semifinal against Nottingham Forest and could rest players for this game.

Tottenham, meanwhile, have all their eggs in the Premier League basket as they fight to avoid relegation.

They are two points below 17th-placed West Ham United and need to secure three points to keep the pressure on them.

And now, ahead of their trip to Villa Park, Tottenham have received a massive injury boost.

Pape Sarr available for Tottenham

Sarr suffered a shoulder injury during the recent international break with Senegal.

Since then, he hasn’t featured as much, missing Tottenham’s last two games against Brighton and Wolves.

However, ahead of the clash against Villa, De Zerbi has confirmed that the young midfielder is back in contention to be named in the matchday squad.

“Today was the first day with the group but he worked very well. He’s available, yes. I have not decided yet on the starting XI,” said the Italian via Football London when asked about Sarr.

In his pre-match press conference, De Zerbi also confirmed that Guglielmo Vicario and Dominic Solanke are out injured, while Destiny Udogie could be fit.

West Ham are Tottenham’s closest rivals in the relegation battle.

And the Hammers play first in each of their next three games, which has been seen as an advantage, as they can pick up points and put pressure on the Lilywhites.

De Zerbi, though, has refused to be drawn into such claims, as he appeared to suggest that such things do not matter in the slightest.

“We think about Villa, and then we go to speak about the other three games. I don’t know, if we win, yes, not now, we can’t think if we play before or after.

“It can be negative, or it can be positive to give some more energy. With my eyes, I can reach the heads of the players. Nothing different.

“I can’t change my face or myself depending on who is in front of me. Clear, honest and what I feel I say.”
