Jamie O’Hara launches astonishing attack on 5 ‘absolutely woeful’ Tottenham players after Sunderland loss

Tottenham suffered a brutal blow in the relegation battle, losing 1-0 against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Sunday.

Roberto De Zerbi’s first game in charge of Tottenham saw them make a decent start. However, it fizzled out quickly, as the hosts started creating opportunities. Nordi Mukiele eventually scored in the 61st minute after a wicked deflection from Micky van de Ven.

Spurs tried to push for an equalizer but couldn’t create any big opportunities. With the defeat, the north London side are in the relegation zone, two points behind West Ham and three behind Nottingham Forest.

Jamie O’Hara blasts Tottenham after Sunderland defeat

While they were unfortunate with the goal, Tottenham put in a poor performance yet again. Many Spurs players failed to turn up, and Jamie O’Hara has criticized them on Sky Sports

The former Spurs midfielder particularly slammed Dominic Solanke, Destiny Udogie, Conor Gallagher, Randal Kolo Muani and Richarlison, saying:

“Absolutely shocking. Didn’t deserve anything from the game… It sums up Spurs this season. They did absolutely nothing, offered nothing. Non-existent performances all over the park.

“Conor Gallagher, shocking. Kolo Muani, shocking. Solanke, shocking. Richarlison, shocking. Udogie, shocking. You can’t carry six players when you are fighting relegation! You have to fight and put in a performance.”

O’Hara added:

“Absolutely woeful again. I can’t believe how bad this team have got. De Zerbi is a good manager but he can’t produce miracles; the players have to produce for him.

“Nowhere near good enough. The quality on the pitch is non-existent. These players have fallen so far off from where they think they are as footballers.”

“I am not seeing anything from this team that warrants staying in the Premier League. There is nothing that says they can stay up. There isn’t enough fight, quality or passion. For the majority of the game, I couldn’t believe what I was watching. These players are nowhere near it.”

As per Fotmob, Tottenham managed an xG of 0.91 with 11 attempts, as compared to Sunderland with 1.79 xG and 13 attempts.

Tottenham remain winless in 2026 in the Premier League

It’s April 12, and Tottenham have still not found a domestic win in the calendar year. They are winless in their last 14 Premier League games, having taken just one point in their last eight. They have lost their last two as well and are just hurtling towards relegation.

Spurs arguably need at least three wins in their remaining six games, but they can’t seem to buy even one at the moment. They will next face Brighton, who have won five of their last six league games. They will then face Wolves, Aston Villa, Leeds United, Chelsea, and Everton in their remaining games.

It’s hard to see where Spurs will get their next point from, let alone a win. Moreover, the relegation fight is not in their hands as they will need West Ham and Nottingham to drop points. It appears as if Tottenham are set for the EFL Championship at this point.
