The Premier League relegation battle between Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Nottingham Forest looks like it could go down to the wire.
Burnley and Wolves are over and out at this stage, while the aforementioned teams are separated by just a point, meaning one of them will surely drop down to the Championship.
Tottenham could well be in the bottom three before they kick a ball in the Premier League next, as both West Ham and Nottingham Forest play before them this weekend.
That said, West Ham’s hopes of securing a win against Manchester City have suffered a massive blow as Crysencio Summerville will not be available for selection.
Summerville suffers minor injury
The Dutchman is currently one of the most in-form players in world football and has almost single-handedly given his side a fighting chance of staying in the Premier League.
Summerville was in the thick of the action last week and scored the solitary goal of the game as West Ham secured a crucial 1-0 win against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
However, he picked up a minor calf injury during the FA Cup win against Brentford, due to which he is set to miss their upcoming Premier League clash.
Several reputed sources, including The Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg, have, however, confirmed that the 24-year-old is only nursing a minor issue and should be back in action imminently.
In recent weeks, absolutely nothing has gone right for Tottenham as they continue to plunge deeper into a relegation crisis.

Injuries are nothing to celebrate, but considering the state of the club, they need the rub of the green to be in their favour, else their chances of Premier League survival look bleak.
The Tottenham West Ham irony
Last summer, Tottenham signed Mohammed Kudus from West Ham after the Ghanaian established himself as one of the most exciting players in the Premier League.
The 2025-26 campaign has proved to be a difficult one for all parties involved. Kudus is currently injured and isn’t expected to return until mid-April, while both Tottenham and West Ham are embroiled in a relegation battle.
Nevertheless, Tottenham have been linked with moves for Jarrod Bowen and Summerville, although any potential transfers between the two sides could depend on their Premier League status.
The irony is there for everyone to see, with former Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo adding another intriguing subplot to proceedings as he attempts to steer West Ham out of the drop zone.
