Jenna Schillaci Backs Spurs Trio for Hall of Fame

Jenna Schillaci Backs Teammates for Tottenham Hall of Fame

Jenna Schillaci has become the first woman inducted into the Tottenham Hotspur Hall of Fame, honoured on the pitch at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Jenna Schillaci Tottenham journey began when she signed for the club as a 16-year-old, and it has now been marked with a place among Spurs’ greatest names.

Schillaci used the moment to back three current squad members for the same honour, speaking in an interview with Football.London.

“Oh, so many players. I think there’s so many legends that I’ve had the privilege of playing with and obviously, in today’s team, I think the likes of Wendy Martin, Josie Green, Bianca Baptiste all deserve a spot in the Hall of Fame, for sure,” she said.

Martin, Green and Baptiste are all established names in Martin Ho’s squad, and Schillaci’s endorsement carries extra weight now that she is part of the club’s Hall of Fame history.

First Female Inductee Honoured at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Schillaci was presented on the pitch at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium alongside club legends Ledley King, Chris Hughton and Trina Nichols. The occasion marked her formal entry into the Hall of Fame as its first female member.

“It’s quite surreal at the minute, but I’m very humbled and proud. It’s still not really sunk in, to be the first female inducted into the Hall of Fame,” Schillaci said.

She also reflected on a Tottenham career that began when she was a teenager and ended two decades later.

“The club means everything to me. It’s played a huge part in my life, shaped the person I am today. You know, I joined as a 16-year-old and retired as a 36-year-old, so it’s a big, big part of my life,” she said.

WSL Progress Under Martin Ho

Schillaci’s induction comes as Tottenham Hotspur Women sit second in the Women’s Super League under manager Martin Ho. The team beat West Ham 7-0 in their most recent league match, a result that underlined strong early season form.

Ho has overseen a strong start to the campaign, with the 7-0 win the clearest sign yet of the squad’s attacking depth this term.

Supporters keeping across the wider club picture can also revisit reports on recent match action in North London and on early season performance levels, as attention shifts between the men’s and women’s sides this month.

Under Ho, the Tottenham Hotspur Women squad that includes Martin, Green and Baptiste sits just behind the WSL leaders, adding context to Schillaci’s confidence in their credentials.

Upcoming WSL Fixtures and Hall of Fame Recognition

Tottenham Hotspur Women will look to maintain their WSL push in the coming rounds as they chase the teams above them in the table.

The Jenna Schillaci Tottenham legacy now includes her backing of Martin, Green and Baptiste, adding personal admiration to their push for silverware this season.

Her induction also lands as the women’s game at Tottenham continues to grow in profile, adding extra significance to the ceremony at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

For now, her focus stays on celebrating the honour alongside King, Hughton and Nichols, while Ho’s squad continues their bid for WSL success.
