Tottenham will take on Aston Villa at home tomorrow as they look for their first Premier League win of the season.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side were also knocked out of the Carabao Cup earlier this week by Liverpool, so for the time being, they can put all their eggs in the Premier League basket.
The Italian made a handful of changes to his squad for the cup game at Anfield, but Spurs fared quite well on the night despite missing a few key players.
And now, he has confirmed that the likes of Pedro Porro, James Maddison and Sandro Tonali will be fit to face Aston Villa tomorrow.
Massive Tottenham injury boost
Maddison came on as a second-half substitute at Anfield for his first appearance of the season, while Tonali and Porro missed out.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the game against Unai Emery’s side, De Zerbi confirmed that the trio will be in the squad tomorrow.
“Porro, Tonali and Maddison are all available to play,” said the Italian via Football London.
“As normal, we have to understand them in terms of physical condition. James is working with the team for the last 10 or 15 days.
“Maybe less than 15 days. He needs to be fit to stay in good condition. When he arrives in the best condition, he is very important for us.”
Porro and Tonali are expected to be drafted straight into the starting XI, but it remains to be seen how many minutes Maddison gets as Tottenham continue to err on the side of caution with him.
