Tottenham Hotspur are set to take on Everton tomorrow as they look for their first Premier League win of the season.
After successive defeats against Brentford and Newcastle United, Roberto De Zerbi’s side picked up a point against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground last weekend as they played out a 0-0 draw.
The Lilywhites will look to make their home advantage count with a positive display tomorrow but will be without two key players.
Double Tottenham injury blow confirmed
De Zerbi has confirmed that Dejan Kulusevski is no closer to returning to action despite being in training.
Earlier this week, it was also confirmed that new signing Mykhailo Mudryk will face an extended spell on the sidelines after suffering an injury in training.
And now, De Zerbi has confirmed that both players will not be available for Tottenham for the foreseeable future.
“Kulusevski is not working with us in the last week. No big problem,” said De Zerbi via Football London in his pre-match press conference.
“The normal problem when someone is out for a long time. Same with Mudryk. Was a stupid injury.
“We need him back soon because he’s suffered too much and he’s an important player for us.”
While no one expected Kulusevski to feature, losing Mudryk is a body blow for Tottenham as they were hoping he could recapture his best form under a manager he knows well.
Speedy recovery, Misha!
