Tottenham Hotspur have picked up just one point in the Premier League this season under Roberto De Zerbi.
That said, they delivered a much better performance against Nottingham Forest last week to pick up a point at the City Ground after successive defeats against Brentford and Newcastle United.
Ahead of the season, there was a lot of excitement surrounding Tottenham as they made ten new signings to overhaul their squad.
However, most of them are yet to kick into gear, while a handful of other key players remain sidelined due to injuries.
Their home game against Everton on Saturday could see the return of James Maddison, though, who has been spotted in team training.
James Maddison training for Tottenham
The England international featured at the back end of last season under De Zerbi and showed flashes of his brilliance after returning from an ACL injury.
However, pre-season didn’t go as planned for him as he didn’t play a single minute.
And that has been the case for the three Premier League games so far as Tottenham fans wait patiently to see him back in action.
And now, pictures from the training ground have proved that Maddison is back on the grass, which is a sign that he is close to featuring for the Lilywhites.
De Zerbi’s press conference is scheduled for tomorrow, so we should hear more about it then.
