Tottenham Hotspur haven’t had the start to the new season they would have hoped for after their spending spree in the summer.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side splashed the cash on ten new recruits, including two on deadline day.
Mykhailo Mudryk and Tosin Adarabioyo were surprise arrivals from Chelsea shortly before the transfer deadline as they scrambled to add depth to their squad.
Mudryk even made his debut as a substitute in the 0-0 draw vs Nottingham Forest as he made his first competitive appearance since his lengthy ban.
And now, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the Ukrainian international is injured and faces an extended spell on the sidelines.
Tottenham attacker Mykhailo Mudryk injured
With a graphic titled ‘breaking’ to grab eyeballs, the Italian confirmed that Mudryk will be out for 6-8 weeks.
He wrote on X: “Mykhaylo Mudryk has suffered an injury and will be sidelined for 6-8 weeks from now.
“Tottenham signed Mudryk from Chelsea on Deadline Day, deal on loan with £75m buy option clause not mandatory.”
This is a hammer blow for Tottenham and the player as their injury woes continue. As for Mudryk, he can’t seem to catch a break as he played just a handful of minutes before picking up an injury in training.
Speedy recovery, Misha!
