Tottenham Hotspur have made eight new signings and could well add another player or two before the transfer deadline.
The same is true in terms of departures as a handful of players still need to have their futures sorted.
Mikey Moore has been linked with a loan move to Koln, but it remains to be seen if Roberto De Zerbi sanctions his departure.
Earlier this week, Pape Matar Sarr formally asked to leave Tottenham after slipping down the pecking order at the club.
And now, Nottingham Forest are believed to be in advanced talks to secure his signature.
Pape Matar Sarr close to leaving Tottenham
Sacha Tavolieri wrote on X: “Nottingham Forest have made progress in the Pape Matar Sarr deal in recent hours.
“Talks with Tottenham have advanced and could lead to a paid loan with an option to buy.
“NFFC really appreciate the Senegalese midfielder and are trying to convince him of their project.”
Sarr prefers to remain in the Premier League amid interest from elsewhere. However, there are still a few hurdles to be cleared for this transfer to materialise.
Forest want a loan deal with an option to buy, but it remains unclear if Tottenham will be ok with those terms.
And finally, the report states that Forest hope to convince the player, which is a clear sign that they don’t have a green light from Sarr yet.
