Tottenham Hotspur’s search for an attacker is finally showing signs of life after several weeks of frustration.
Yesterday, we reported on Read Tottenham that a bid of 85m was submitted to sign Savinho, who missed Manchester City training due to an illness.
Those reports came out of Brazil, which is the attacker’s home country.
And now, reports from the Netherlands have confirmed that Tottenham have finally made their move for Cody Gakpo.
Tottenham submit £60m Cody Gakpo bid
Soccer News NL claim that they have had it confirmed by sources close to Tottenham that an offer in excess of £60m has been made to sign the Dutch international.
Gakpo has been linked with a move to North London for a while now, but Liverpool have thus far been unwilling to sell.
The report also states that the bid is expected to be rejected, with the Reds holding out for a higher sum to part with the versatile forward.
Liverpool are in talks to sign Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye, so certain dominoes need to fall for this transfer to happen.
However, Spurs have now made their move and the ball is on Liverpool’s court.
