Tottenham’s pursuit of Savinho is well documented and we’ve covered all the details of his potential move to North London on the website.
The only other attacker who has been reliably linked with a move to North London in recent weeks is Cody Gakpo.
Yesterday, we reported on Read Tottenham that Spurs have made contact with Liverpool for his signing, with the player valued at around £72m.
And now, the same journalist who reported yesterday that Tottenham made formal contact for the Dutchman has another positive update on the situation.
Tottenham very likely to sign Cody Gakpo
Joost Blaauwhof wrote on X: “Among all parties, conviction is starting to prevail that the transfer of Cody Gakpo to Spurs is becoming very realistic.
“Chance of success is now quite high. But Liverpool still needs to agree. Manager Roberto De Zerbi hasn’t let go so far. It’s Gakpo all the way.”
It looks like deals for Savinho and Gakpo are mutually exclusive, which is massive news for the Tottenham faithful.
The player is willing to join and Spurs have the money to spend. Everything depends on whether Liverpool sanction a sale and that could well be possible as they remain locked in talks to sign Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye from PSG.
Keep an eye on this one as we believe it has legs.
