At a glance:
- Juventus want Destiny Udogie
- Tottenham could get Michele Di Gregorio in return
- Swap deal could work between both parties
Destiny Udogie is currently injured for Tottenham, but reports from Italy claim he is a target for Juventus.
The left-back has struggled with fitness issues this season and missed the game against Wolves.
Udogie faces a race against time to be fit against Aston Villa tomorrow, as confirmed by Roberto De Zerbi in his pre-match press conference.
And now, the Italian has been linked with a return to Serie A in an audacious swap deal.
Juventus want Destiny Udogie swap deal with Tottenham
Injuries have been Udogie’s only problem since joining the club in 2023 from Serie A side Udinese.

The Italian was a key player under Ange Postecoglou as he bombed up and down the left flank with aplomb.
The current season has proved to be challenging for Udogie, but that hasn’t stopped Juventus from keeping tabs on him.
According to Calciomercato, Juventus boss Luciano Spalletti wants the Italian left-back in the summer.
The Serie A giants could propose a deal that involves Michele Di Gregorio going the other way in a swap deal.
That might be of interest to Tottenham as Guglielmo Vicario has already agreed personal terms with Inter Milan and his departure seems inevitable.
Tottenham shouldn’t budge
Tottenham need a new goalkeeper if Vicario leaves, but we are unsure if Di Gregorio is the answer.
Our colleagues at Read Liverpool covered Juventus’ interest in Alisson Becker, which is a clear sign that they are looking for an upgrade between the sticks.
Maybe the Serie A giants are confident of signing the Liverpool goalkeeper, so they are just using De Gregorio as a makeweight in any deal for Udogie.

Even otherwise, Tottenham should carefully consider parting with the Italian as he is a fantastic player when fully fit.
His injury issues are concerning, to say the least. However, when fully fit, Udogie delivers more often than not, so maybe it’s too soon to cut their losses on him.
And finally, a handful of other goalkeepers have been linked with Tottenham, like Bart Verbruggen and James Trafford.
They know the Premier League inside out and would suit De Zerbi’s philosophy better than Di Gregorio, so this isn’t a deal the North London outfit should consider in any capacity.
