Teddy Sheringham demands Igor Tudor’s Tottenham sacking and delivers stern Adi Hutter verdict

Tottenham icon Teddy Sheringham has shared his concern for the club’s current situation. He urged the club hierarchy to sack Igor Tudor, but also warned them from appointing Adi Hutter as his replacement.

Tottenham are just one point above the relegation zone in the Premier League standings after 31 games. They haven’t won a single domestic game in 2026 and have just one point in their last seven league games. They are hurtling towards relegation unless there is a major change.

The North London side sacked Thomas Frank in February and appointed Tudor as an interim manager. However, he has five defeats, one win, and one draw in his seven games, with zero wins in five Premier League games.

Teddy Sheringham urges Tottenham to sack Igor Tudor

In a video shared by a TikTok user @wearepeek, Sheringham urged Tottenham to part ways with Tudor. He pointed to his record and said:

“If this fellow is getting the sack, which he should be, you know, let’s look at the results on the football pitch, and let’s have a look at what’s been going on. I think he’s got one point in 6 games, is it? Might be 5 games. I am not sure, but one point in that time, and the team looking in disarray still. He needs to go.”

Sheringham also questioned Tottenham’s interest in Adi Hutter. He highlighted that the Austrian coach hasn’t worked in the Premier League and urged the club not to appoint a foreign coach to replace Tudor. The German added:

“What does this guy know about the Premier League? What does this guy know about the Premier League players, about the stadiums, about the pitches, about the players that he’s got at his disposal?”

“What the hell is going on at Tottenham Hotspur? Why are they looking down the foreign route that knows nothing about the football club or the league that he’s gonna be playing in? Please, do not make this mistake again. I don’t know who’s making these decisions to go and speak to these people, but it’s wrong.”

Sheringham said that Tottenham need to make a decision quickly despite many players being out on international duty. He added that the club has many good players who need someone to give them a “confidence boost”.

Other managerial links to Tottenham

Since their 3-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest, Tottenham have been linked with multiple managers. Hutter and Chris Hughton were among the names first mentioned.

Roberto De Zerbi is reportedly a top target for Tottenham. However, The Telegraph reported that the Italian will wait until the summer to take a new job. The report also named Sean Dyche as a potential candidate for the north London side.

Tottenham have also been linked with Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk. Other former Tottenham players or managers, like Ryan Mason, Harry Redknapp, and Robbie Keane, are also among potential candidates for the job.
