  • Igor Tudor set to leave Tottenham
  • The Croatian is without a single Premier League win
  • Two replacements in mind

Igor Tudor’s tumultuous spell as interim Tottenham Hotspur boss is expected to end this week. The Croatian has been in charge since mid-February and failed to turn things around.

Spurs suffered a disastrous 3-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest on Sunday (March 22nd). That leaves Tudor’s men just a point above the drop zone with seven games remaining.

Tudor was unable to fulfil post-match media responsibilities after he was informed of the death of his father, Mario. This is thought to be playing a role in the decision to part ways.

Tudor to Leave Spurs

Graeme Bailey of TEAMtalk reports that Tudor is set to leave Tottenham by “mutual consent” and the club have been considering dismissing him “for weeks.” The loss to Forest was his fourth in five games in charge, and he’s without a win.

Tudor replaced Thomas Frank and was expected to turn the tide following his previous success in such situations in Italy. But the 47-year-old has endured one of the most difficult tenures of any Premier League manager in history.

The Croat’s appointment was made with the short term in mind, not with a view to securing the job on a permanent basis. His anticipated exit means the Lilywhites will be on the lookout for their third manager this season.

Two Names in the Frame

The report adds that Spurs are showing “strong consideration” over appointing either Adi Hutter or Chris Hughton as Tudor’s replacement. Both are available and viewed as “viable options” to take over and try to guide the North Londoners to safety.

Hutter previously managed AS Monaco in Ligue 1 and has plenty of experience in European football. The Austrian has been out of management since November 2025.

Hughton is familiar with the club, having spent time at White Hart Lane during his playing days. He has held stints in England before, including at Newcastle United.

As for a permanent appointment, the club are keen on Roberto De Zerbi, who is also available. Reports claim that the Italian is open to taking charge should Spurs still be in the Premier League next season.

De Zerbi left Marseille in February and is one of Europe’s most highly sought-after tacticians. He has English top-flight experience from his time managing Brighton & Hove Albion.
