Mousa Dembele has insisted that Spurs need to stay calm, as the Lilywhites attempt to win their first league title since 1961.
Spurs have taken everyone by surprise so far this season, with Mauricio Pochettino and his side receiving deserved acclaim from pundits and fans alike.
However, Dembele believes the key to bringing the league title back to White Hart Lane is the ability to stay calm when the pressure is on.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, he said:
“You can feel an extra belief and it’s something special,’ Dembele said.
“The fans can think about it, the people around can talk about it, but for us it’s week in, week out, concentrate on the next game. Then we’ll see where we end up.”

“Hopefully, at the end, we notice something big. For us, we aim for the highest but the rest, we’ll see. I try not to think too much about it, to be honest.
“We need to stay cool because if we’re going to be too excited, we’re not going to play our own game any more and we can’t afford that.
“So we need to stay focused and calm, game by game.”
Spurs, who returned to winning ways by beating Aston Villa on Sunday, now face Bournemouth on Sunday at White Hart Lane, hoping to close the gap to surprise league leaders Leicester City.
If Spurs are to win the Premier League, Pochettino’s side will have to take near maximum points from their remaining games, including trips to Chelsea and Liverpool, as well as a visit from Manchester United at White Hart Lane.
Can Spurs end the 55 year wait for a league title?
