Tottenham transfer news as Arsenal join race for £85m attacker

Tottenham endured one of the most exciting transfer windows in their history last summer.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side signed ten new players but only stepped up their pursuit of attackers in late August as they signed Savio, Omar Marmoush and Mykhailo Mudryk.

However, during the early part of the summer transfer window, Eli Kroupi Junior was Tottenham’s main target before his injury.

And now, reports from England confirm that he is stepping up his return, although two European giants are also vying for his signature.

Tottenham reportedly made an offer worth £85m for Kroupi Jr shortly before his injury.

And now, The Sun report that he is working overtime to return to full fitness, with his agents believing that a transfer would have materialised in the summer if it wasn’t for his setback.

The report also confirms that apart from Tottenham, Arsenal and PSG are in the running to secure his signature, which is a body blow for the club.

If Kroupi Jr joins Tottenham, he could play up front, with Marmoush and Savio stationed on the wings.

The Lilywhites’ interest is well documented, so it remains to be seen what happens after he returns from his injury.
