Tottenham Hotspur remain on the lookout for reinforcements as they aim to fine-tune their squad under Roberto De Zerbi.
The Lilywhites spent in excess of £300m on ten new signings during the summer transfer window and seemingly overhauled their squad.
However, it goes without saying that they could do with another body in attack as they have struggled in front of goal this season.
TEAMtalk confirm that Tottenham want to sign Giuliano Simeone from Atletico Madrid. However, the LaLiga giants have no intention of letting the 23-year-old leave.
Tottenham target Giuliano Simeone not for sale
According to the aforementioned report, Diego Simeone’s side are really happy with the 23-year-old and view him as a valuable member of the team.
Aside from Tottenham, Manchester United and Manchester City are also interested in signing him. But Simeone Jr is happy to remain in Spain and play under his father, who continues to steer the ship at Atleti.
An excerpt from the article reads: “Madrid sources have told TEAMtalk that Simeone junior is a hugely trusted member of the first-team squad, with his contribution and commitment highly valued within the club.
“His position at Atletico means any potential move to England would be far from straightforward, particularly given the club’s reluctance to entertain approaches during the summer.”
Simeone’s skillset would be perfect for Tottenham, but it doesn’t look like Atletico will allow him to leave under any circumstances.
