Tottenham make official £85m bid for attacker after he was left out of training

Tottenham Hotspur’s search for an attacker is headed in the right direction after weeks of being at a standstill.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side have spent in excess of £230m on as many as six new recruits this summer, but they have struggled to reinforce their attack despite their best efforts.

Eli Junior Kroupi was heavily linked with a club, but the transfer didn’t materialise as he picked up a long-term injury.

As for Cody Gakpo, Liverpool remain reluctant to sell, although that could change if they manage to sign Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye.

Savinho has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham for well over a year now, and it finally appears as if he’ll get his dream move.

Tottenham make £85m bid for Savinho

Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte report that Tottenham have made a bid worth £85m to sign the attacker from Manchester City.

Savinho didn’t train today due to an illness, but various reports suggested that it could well be because of a transfer.

The young attacker submitted a transfer request earlier this summer and is keen to make the move to North London.

For the past few weeks, the two sides have been locked in negotiations but have been unable to agree a fee.

However, Tottenham have now made a monstrous bid that should get the job done. The ball is now firmly on Manchester City’s court as the player is ready to make the move once he’s given the green light.
