It hasn’t been a happy international break for everyone associated with Tottenham Hotspur.
Jan Paul van Hecke limped off with an injury for the Netherlands and Pedro Porro is set to be out for a while, adding further misery to Roberto De Zerbi’s pre-existing problems.
The Lilywhites are rooted to the bottom of the Premier League standings, so something’s got to give for them to get back on track.
On the transfer front, however, they may have received a massive boost in the race to sign Arthur Dias.
Tottenham get huge Arthur Dias boost
The 19-year-old has made massive strides with his performances for Brazilian side Athletico Paranaense and earned a national team call-up.
Dias made his debut for his country earlier this week in the 4-2 win against Austria as he played the last eight minutes of the game in his natural central defensive role.
And in doing so, he may now be eligible for a work permit to move to and play in England immediately, having also featured regularly for his country.
Over the past few months, Sport Witness have relayed claims that Tottenham are really interested in signing the 19-year-old.
If the Lilywhites want to step up their pursuit, they may have just cleared a major roadblock.
