It has been a dramatic few days for all the Tottenham fans across the world.
After beating Charlton Athletic 5-1, Roberto De Zerbi’s side were beaten comfortably by Newcastle United as they suffered successive defeats in the Premier League at the start of the new season.
In terms of transfers, Omar Marmoush and Savio joined the club to bolster their attack.
The likes of Cody Gakpo and Iliman Ndiaye were also linked with moves to North London, but neither of them materialised.
And now, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that De Zerbi has turned to a familiar face to reinforce his attack before the deadline: Mykhailo Mudryk.
Tottenham want Mykhailo Mudryk
He wrote on X: “BREAKING: Mykhaylo Mudryk says yes to Tottenham move as he wants to work under Roberto De Zerbi again.
“Mudryk puts Leeds and all other options on hold as he wants Spurs. Discussions are well underway with CFC over a loan deal.”
De Zerbi and Mudryk worked together at Shakhtar Donetsk, where the Ukrainian quickly became one of the most sought-after players in the world before his 89m move to Chelsea.
After a lengthy ban, he is back in action and on the lookout for regular game time.
Tottenham can offer him just that, while the prospect of reuniting with De Zerbi is clearly a factor Mudryk is considering before completing a late loan move.
