‘Important’ – Roberto De Zerbi admits Tottenham attacker could leave before transfer deadline

Tottenham Hotspur progressed to the third round of the Carabao Cup with a thumping 5-1 win against Charlton Athletic at home.

While Savio’s second-half cameo emerged as the biggest talking point of the game as the Brazilian stole the show on his debut, Mikey Moore was the one who set Tottenham on their way with a fantastic opening goal.

The Englishman also started the game against Brentford and was in the thick of the action as he capped off a fine performance with a deserved goal.

Moore has been linked with a move to Koln, with a loan deal agreed with the Bundesliga giants.

And Roberto De Zerbi feels he could sanction his departure before the transfer deadline despite his desire to keep him at the club.

Mikey Moore could leave Tottenham on loan

“It is important for him,” said De Zerbi via Football London when asked about the Englishman.

“It is important for us because he is our player from the academy and in this day we have to understand what the best solution is for him, for us, because I would like to keep him because he is young but a good player.

“But we can’t (make) the wrong decision because anyway he needs to play and put games inside of him. With Johan Lange and Vinai, we have to find the best solution.”

Regular game time is the name of the game for Moore, so a loan move to the Bundesliga might be the best decision for all parties involved.
