Savio became Tottenham’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window as the Brazilian international’s arrival was officially confirmed yesterday.
A deal has been agreed to sign Omar Marmoush from Manchester City, but the Lilywhites aren’t stopping there.
They remain on the lookout for another attacker, with various names like Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo and Lille’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo linked.
And now, reports from Italy have thrown another name into the mix: Amine Gouiri.
Tottenham want Amine Gouiri
The Marseille striker has been a key player for the club over the years, but the Ligue 1 club could be forced to sell him due to financial constraints.
Corriere dello Sport (via GFFN) confirm that Tottenham want to sign Gouiri before the transfer deadline, with other clubs also interested in the 26-year-old attacker.
The Algerian international is expected to fetch a decent transfer fee for his club, although a particular figure hasn’t been mentioned in the report.
Napoli are also interested in signing Gouiri before the transfer deadline, so Tottenham will need to make a move for him quickly to avoid a scramble on deadline day.
We’re not sure if they’ll press ahead with their interest in the Marseille man, but we’re fairly confident the Lilywhites will add another attacker to their squad before the transfer deadline.
