Tottenham Hotspur have sold a few players in recent weeks and it appears as if Guglielmo Vicario is set to be the next in line.
The Italian goalkeeper has been linked with a departure for a while now, having been linked with Inter Milan and Juventus.
And finally, Fabrizio Romano confirmed this morning that Vicario will move to Juventus on loan with an option to buy.
And now, Sky Sports have confirmed that the fee is set to be £8.5m.
Tottenham to get £8.5m from Vicario sale
The loan fee is set to be around £6.5m, with Juventus retaining the option to make the deal permanent for £2m.
Sky Sports wrote on their transfer blog: “Juventus have agreed a deal with Tottenham to sign Guglielmo Vicario on an initial season-long loan.
“The agreement also includes an £8.5m (€10m) option to buy the Spurs goalkeeper permanently.
“Juventus had previously been targeting Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez but cooled their interest after a £8.5m offer was rejected by the Premier League club.”
Vicario didn’t get to sign off on a high, but Tottenham fans will remember him for a long time for his exploits during the UEFA Europa League run. Good luck in Italy, Vic!
