Tottenham Hotspur are in the process of fine-tuning their squad and have already made a few notable sales.
Recently, Cristian Romero and Djed Spence’s departures were confirmed as they left to join Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan, respectively.
Other players like Lucas Bergvall and Papp Sarr could well leave permanently before the summer transfer window slams shut, while Mikey Moore has been linked with a loan move to FC Koln.
And now, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the next player to leave Tottenham is likely to be Guglielmo Vicario.
Vicario arrives for Juventus medical
After Juve’s deal to sign Emi Martinez hit a snag, they’ve quickly moved for the Italian goalkeeper and have agreed a deal to sign him on loan.
The loan fee will be €8m, with the Serie A giants retaining an option to buy Vicario for €2m next summer.
Romano confirmed on X that Vicario has arrived for his Juventus medical, saying: “Guglielmo Vicario has landed in Turin to sign in at Juventus from Spurs.
“Loan deal with €8m plus €2m buy option clause not mandatory.”
Tottenham will be a bit disappointed with that fee as it feels like a bit of a bargain for a goalkeeper like Vicario.
However, it makes sense to offload him rather than to keep him on the bench as Antonin Kinsky has well and truly replaced him as Tottenham’s first-choice goalkeeper.
