Tottenham are in the market for attacking reinforcements and are expected to make big moves between now and the end of the summer transfer window.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side have shown no signs of slowing down despite already spending £230m on six new recruits.
Talks are ongoing with Manchester City and Liverpool for Savinho and Cody Gakpo, who are Tottenham’s primary targets currently.
However, reports from France seem to suggest they are also in the running for forgotten Chelsea man Nicolas Jackson.
Tottenham in the hunt for Nicolas Jackson
Jackson spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich and it’s safe to say he didn’t fare as well as he’d have liked as the Bavarian giants turned down the opportunity to sign him on loan.
He is out of Chelsea’s project under Xabi Alonso and is now on the lookout for a new club.
Fabrice Hawkins reports that Tottenham are one of the clubs in the hunt for him, with the player valued at around £60m.
He wrote on X: “Aston Villa, Tottenham and Atlético Madrid are among the clubs monitoring Nicolas Jackson.
“Chelsea value Jackson at £60m (€69m), a figure currently proving a major obstacle.”
Jackson is a versatile forward and would suit De Zerbi’s system, but for that price, Tottenham are better off looking at other options and turning to him if they can’t get one of Savinho or Gakpo.
